In 1999 Hercon was assigned the design and construction of a new industrial building that would cover the confectionery and biscuit production needs of Haitoglou Bros S.A. The building totals a surface of 3,970 m2.
The building’s main body is made of reinforced concrete while the main production hall has a metal roof. The facades combine exposed concrete, wall panels and curtain walls. All internal walls are made of stainless steel wall panels. Within the building there are areas of production and storage along with refrigerators for product maintenance.
Small two-storey wings at the 2 sides of the building facilitate the personnel needs. The connection between the parts of the building is achieved with a suspended corridor of 30 m length, hung from the main hall’s metal roof. The project was completed in 2000...
