Our company undertook, in 1991, the design and construction of a complex industrial plant of 8.240 m2 of total area for Haitoglou Bros S.A. to cover the production needs of Macedonian Halva. The plant is one of the first ones in Greece to be designed and constructed in compliance with all international food production standards. It consists of 2 independent buildings of which the first one covers the production, packing and boxing needs and the second one the storing of raw materials. The buildings were entirely constructed of reinforced concrete and the facades were formed by a combination of exposed concrete, "PU" panels, curtain walls and marble. The production building is partly two-storey and accommodates a reception hall, administrative offices, seminar rooms, a microbiology laboratory and catering and hygiene facilities for the staff. At the same time landscaping works were carried out at an area of 7.000m2. The architectural design was carried out under the supervision of architect Kostas Antoniou.
