TAHINI PACKING PLANT UPGRADE

The Sesame Processing plant, of total area 3.200m2, was one of the first collaborations between Hercon S.A. and Haitoglou Bros S.A. in 1986-1987.
20 years later, in the general frame of reorganization of production, the radical refurbishment of the building was decided including the full renovation of facades and production spaces so that the building could cover the needs of tahini packing.
At the same time, new office spaces, a microbiology laboratory and catering and hygiene facilities for the staff were created. The building’s thermal insulation was reinforced and an efficient air conditioning system, compatible with the high hygiene requirements, was installed. The project was carried out on designs by architect Kostas Antoniou.
